Fynn Sterritt

Fynn Right in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland is not the type of place you would imagine aspiring Olympic Sailors would grow up. This however was the case for Fynn, who began sailing from the age of nine on Loch Morlich. He quickly fell in love with the sport and convinced his parents to drive him around the country to the various competitions and training commitments. His talents were soon recognized by the Royal Yachting Association and he was invited to the Scottish Sailing Squad and later the GBR Youth Squad at the age of 12. Having been a member of the GBR Youth Squads in the Topper and 420 classes and competed internationally from Gran Canaria to Mooloolaba, Fynn’s youth sailing had taken him as far as it could. After taking a few years away from sailing in order to study Aerospace Engineering at Southampton University (MEng 1st Class honours), Fynn came back more determined than ever to put a campaign together. After moving down to Weymouth in the hope of finding a helm, Fynn’s enthusiasm and desire soon paid off and he quickly joined forces with Nic.
